This is a simple annualization, not compounding. It assumes the expected payout occurs and does not estimate loss probability, slippage, taxes or changing prices.
Formula used
Net profit = (capital ÷ purchase price × expected payout) − capital − fees
Simple APR = (net profit ÷ capital) × (365 ÷ total days)
Total days includes the scheduled time to resolution plus any estimated settlement delay. 99market uses the same simple annualization concept for ranking, without compounding.
How to interpret the result
The calculator compares the size and speed of a hypothetical return. It does not estimate the probability of winning, future reinvestment rates or the market's true risk-adjusted value. A large APR can be produced by a tiny expected profit over a very short period and can be overwhelmed by one loss, slippage or delayed settlement.
